Hi there. The 2012 Beechworth Harvest Festival has come and gone for another year. The weather was bright and sunny. A great time was had by all visitors; sampling many local wines and foods. Yours truly and the "boss" volunteered on the glasses stand. Together, we handed out some 1600 glasses. They were plastic and most people thought that was fabulous. We had a few visitors return for a another glass, claiming they couldn't remember where they put their glass down! Oh my.
There was a kids corner with face painting and that was well supported.
Collin's Apples won the best stall.
Check out the photos:
The wine room was very popular, presented by wine producers and wine experts
The crowd enjoying the sunny day.
Roasted chestnuts anyone?
Yours truly and Cheryl, wearing our Harvest Festival hats.
Collins Apples. Locally grown and winner of the best stall.
Four self contained cottages on the high point of Malakoff Road, looking over the Gorge towards the town. Two 3 bedroom and two 1 bedroom cottages. All set in their own private garden.

Drive Back In Time 2012
If you love old cars, you should mark the first Saturday in May 2013 for our Drive Back In Time festival weekend.
You can participate in various events put on by the Old Cranks Club on the Saturday and either put your love and joy on display on the Sunday or walk around and admire some exquisitely restored and presented cars. There is the odd vintage/veteran truck as well. This year I understand there were 190 cars on display and they really did look spectacular lined up in the street. Some photos for your enjoyment and what you can look forward to next year.
Although I haven't any photos from this year, also presented were various steam engines. All working and puffing steam. Here are just a few of the cars on the day. Enjoy.
